A Botox® treatment involves precise injections administered by our Nurse Injector to relax the dynamic muscles that form unwanted expression lines. This treatment smooths wrinkles, relieves a stressed or tired look, counteracts aging. During your complimentary consultation with our Medical Professional, we will customize a Botox® treatment designed to meet your aesthetic goals.
Botox® has been licensed in Canada since 1990 as a safe and effective treatment for a variety of medical aesthetic conditions. In 2001, Health Canada approved Botox® for wrinkles therapy, and it has been proven to be safe through extensive research and testing.
Botox® is intended to enhance the way you look, not change it. When Botox® is administered by our experienced injector, you can still be expressive. There’s no reason to worry about losing your facial expression after Botox®. You will have visible results – like fewer creases or deep lines. But your expressions won’t be radically different. You can still frown, smile or look surprised. It’s just that the lines on your face won’t look so severe while you do!
Common areas treated with Botox® are:
A Botox® treatment is typically quick, simple, and there’s no downtime. Following a facial analysis by your Nurse Injector and a discussion on your desired outcome, the procedure itself only takes about 10 to 15 minutes to perform. The treatment is so short and easy that some people call it a “lunch-break procedure.” If it is your first time getting Botox®, it may take longer because the Medical Professional will need to discuss your goals and determine if Botox® is right for you.
A small amount of Botox® is injected very precisely by a Nurse Injector into the muscle being treated. A very fine needle and a small amount of liquid is used so the pain associated with the injection is minimal. The sensation has been compared to a pinch. No sedation or local anesthetic is required, and you can quickly resume normal activities.
Botox® injections do not work instantly, but you can expect to see positive results quickly from your treatment. Most patients observe significant improvements in the appearance of their skin after just 3–4 days. Patients can expect to see the full effect around 14 days after their Botox® injection.
The results of your Botox® can last up to four months for moderate to severe frown lines. Remember that results vary from patient to patient, so you and our Nurse Injector can plan your next appointment based on your results and aesthetic goals.
Of course! Many men make Botox® a part of their skincare routine. The number of men choosing treatments like Botox® is quickly increasing. Women are still the main consumer of aesthetic treatments, but according to recent studies, the number of men having cosmetic procedures is trending upward. Botox®, Dysport and Xeomin are some of the popular botulinum toxin injections that provide anti-aging benefits for men.
Botox® is $9/unit. The costs associated with a Botox® treatment are dependent on the amount of product needed and the areas of the face being treated. We offer complimentary consultations with our Nurse Injector to provide information, treatment plans, and pricing.
